Here is what we have planned for the weeks following our launch in March 2008.
More Descriptions & Photos
Canada and the US will be completed by the time we launch. We will follow quickly with Australia, New Zealand, The Caribbean and United Kingdom. After that Europe and the rest of the world. It's a big job but we want to make IndeXinn your one stop travel information site.
May 20th: All major areas have information pages and most popular travel destinations have localized pages with photographs. Additional information will be added as it becomes available.
Blogs
We plan to host a blog that all our visitors can contribute to. The general theme will be "Travel and Accommodation" but otherwise visitors are free to post what they want.
May 20th: The software is in place and blog.indexinn.com is functional. In the next few weeks we will add widgets and design the theme. We hope to officially launch in early June but you are free to post starting today.
Events
We are in the process of creating a worldwide database of Events of all types. You will soon be able to search for accommodations that are close to an event you wish to attend.
July 12: Added a form so that InnTravelers can make suggestions on events to add to our database
Map Search
Zoom in to anywhere on the planet and see the listings we have for the area. Click the map marker to see detailed information about your selection.
May 20th: Added an interactive Flash based map to direct searches to the appropriate area web page.
InnTraveler Forum
Visitors to IndeXinn ( called InnTravelers ) have the option to participate in lively discussions on travel related topics.
June 11th: We are currently beta testing this feature and hope to make it generally available by the beginning of July.
July 12th: The forum is ready to go at forum.indexinn.com — all we need now is you.
InnTraveler Suitcases
InnTravelers are able to save their custom searches and itineraries to a private suitcase folder on our server.
InnTraveler Reviews
InnTravelers have the option of writing reviews on places they have stayed and making them available to other visitors.
InnTraveler Photos
Add your photos of properties you have stayed in, places you have visited and events you have attended.
